• Do I submit a desposit? When is payment due?

Yes! Unless the shoot is last minute, you will submit a deposit up to 50% of the session cost to hold your spot for the session. The rest of the payment will be due the day of the session.

  • What if we have to cancel or reschedule?

There is no penalty for rescheduling. However, if you reschedule within 12 hours of the shoot or do not show up to the session, the down payment may be collected as penalty and another down payment may be required for the rescheduled session.

Occasionally weather, illness, etc., will require us to reschedule. I will do my best to check on weather, etc., but surprises happen!

  • What should I wear?

Generally, I recommend simple patterns, neutral colors (think cream, blush, gray, etc.), and a variety of textures (chambray, sweaters, linen, lace, etc.) Simplicity photographs beautifully. Dresses photograph beautifully.

For group photos, think of coordinating instead of matching. Slightly different hues blend together much better than exactly matching colors. Think how great eyeshadows blend when they are different, but coordinated!

Please avoid thin stripe patterings. They mess with screens!

  • What if the photographer messes up?

When the mistake is mine, I will do my best to remedy the situation, whether it is scheduling another shoot, providing more images, or giving a discount.

In the extremely rare case that my memory cards corrupt, are stolen, etc., and your images are lost before I deliver them to you, I will repeat the session at no charge.

  • What kind of images do I receive?

You will receive all resulting edited, high resolution photos from the session. These images are now yours, and you are welcome to post, share, and print them as you wish. You are absolutely encouraged to share your images on any social media platforms (word of mouth is awesome!). I just ask that you mention Steph Secrist Photography and/or tag me when appropriate so others can link back to my work. Please consider leaving me a review though my Facebook business page.

  • What rights does the photographer have to my images?

I reserve the right to use your images for online marketing on my website, advertisements, Facebook, Instagram, and more. When I share my images to promote my business, I will protect your information and never use your names. If you prefer to not have your images used online, please let me know. A small fee may be added in order to be the sole owner of your images.

  • Do you recommend a printer?

Yes! I love Persnickety Prints, but there are many other great printers. Be wary of one-hour local printing from chain stores.
